A fantastic night for Team Basement in Leslie on Saturday, as they clinched the top spot and are off to the Scottish Finals in Kirkcaldy at the start of May!

FADS was awarded:

The Wilma Munro Quaich for Highest Marks in Acting

The John Duncan Quaich for Highest Marks in Production

The Outlook Tower winners' trophy

And from our own stash of virtual silverware, we're presenting Chris Day with the Hero Of The Night award, for brilliantly overcoming a Leslie lighting desk technical glitch, which left the stage in complete darkness after the curtains opened, for what felt like an eternity. Thankfully, Chris managed to wrestle the cue stack back into order and it seems not to have mattered one bit to the audience - or the adjudicator!

Big congratulations also to Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group, whose very good production of 'Being Norwegian' came a close second. We'll see them again at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy.

You can see 'Something In The Basement' for yourself at the Menzies Hall in Fintry on Friday 25th April. £7 a ticket, curtain up at 7.30pm. (Just a wee reminder that it does contain sexual references and it not suitable for younger audiences.)
