St Philomena, with the Jimmy Brown Trophy for Best Moment of Theatre
and the Bob Buchanan Salver for Third Place
Well, we did what we could on the night at Bathgate, but just missed out on a spot in the Scottish Finals. The adjudicator did emphasise how close it was, as every play had positive and negative points, but when it all came out in the wash, we landed in third place. Rats.
Still, third gets us a lovely salver to add to the collection, and we also got Best Moment of Theatre for the saucy sofa session(s).
Huge congratulations to Bowhouse Drama, who scooped first place and a couple of other trophies with their performance of 'The Sociable Plover'.
If you'd like to see 'Losers' before we pack away the set for good and Philomena takes up permanent residence next to That Bust in the Green Room, you can catch it - together with Tapsalteerie's youth production of Macbeth - on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th March in the Menzies Hall.
This year's one-act trophies
