The Stirling District round of this year's One-Act Festival is being held in the Menzies Hall on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March.
As always, support for the competition is greatly appreciated - and you get some great entertainment to boot!
Our youth team is performing Tam o'Shanter on Friday evening (in a non-competitive capacity) and then our FADS entry, Mr Moonlight, is up second on Saturday.
Directed by Barbara McLeod and starring Andy Barr, Chris Connon and Anna Foran, Mr Moonlight is the story of how Frankie Vaughan's life-long affinity for Glasgow and its people might have come about.
When the heart throb, hit maker and Hollywood star intervened in gang warfare on the streets of Easterhouse in the 1960s, some people dismissed it as a publicity stunt by a vain do-gooder intent on nothing more than selling records.
In reality, having come from nothing himself, he understood the problems facing communities blighted by gangs and thought he could do something to help these young people. And he did.
Tickets for each night are £10 for adults and £7 for under-18s, available from gordonkillin@gmail.com or on the door. Pre-booking is appreciated!
